With highly trained staff on hand 24hours a day, and a high ratio of staff to residents, you will enjoy personalised care centred on you, unrushed and based around ensuring you feel well cared for and comfortable.

Small units with dedicated teams mean that every resident has named carers, who know you as a whole person – not just your physical needs, but your personal preferences, your background and your family.

Our fully equipped nursing wing offers 31 rooms and caters for ALL NURSING needs. Our qualified and highly experienced nursing team is here night and day to deliver clinical care if your loved one needs additional medical care. We are able to care for residents with a variety of complex needs, from Parkinson’s Disease to multiple sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or stroke.

Our team creates a comprehensive care plan for every resident, regularly updating it, and working with GPs and specialist healthcare colleagues in local hospitals and surgeries to ensure your loved one receives the best possible care.

If your loved one would now benefit from moving to a warm and friendly home where they’ll have round-the-clock attention, look no further. We pride ourselves on tailoring everything we do to your loved one’s needs and preferences so they can continue to enjoy a great lifestyle. However, they and you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that an experienced carer is only seconds away. Whether your loved one is still involved in a community group, likes to get up late, or wants their room laid out in a particular way, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate their aims and preferences. The residential wing offers 19 characterful and homely rooms, with charming period features, and a lively social life.

As well as superb activities, entertainment and outings, we serve up delicious and nutritious menu options; bedrooms are beautifully furnished and individually decorated, and your loved one is welcome to bring treasured items to help them feel at home. We’ll take care of your loved one’s cleaning and laundry and our discreet care team is on hand to help your loved one with personal care – bathing and dressing – if they need it.

We welcome residents for short term respite care or step down care, to help you after a stay in hospital, or give you a home from home when needed. We also offer day care tailored around your needs – perhaps regularly whilst a family member is at work, or occasionally if your usual carer has other commitments.

Our Nurses are all trained in end of life care, to help our residents and their loved ones through this difficult time. No one likes to think of their relative dying, but being prepared, and able to have difficult conversations really does help when the time comes. As end of life specialists, we consider it a privilege to be able to ensure that a person’s last days and hours are as comfortable as possible.

We work closely with Canterbury Hospice to ensure that specific needs are met, and, as part of personal care plans, we are committed to making sure that individual wishes are carried out wherever possible.
